As our older friends and family members stay indoors to remain protected, it’s important that we look for ways to connect with them and care for them better. Here are 7 things you can do to show your elders you’re thinking of them during this unprecedented time.

Mail them a handwritten message

Send them a card or note in the mail, and include a drawing or photo you want to share with them. Remember that seniors love receiving snail mail. Sending a handwritten note will make them feel important and appreciated and help them feel connected to your life. We recommend sharing a photo of yourself doing an activity that your loved one enjoys, like reading, gardening, or baking. This will spark a conversation and give everyone something to look forward to when this is all over!
